Solar Battery Chargers – Which wire is which

Which wire of this solar battery charger attaches of the positive post?

I’m installing a solar battery charger for my lawn tractor. The instructions says attach the positive wire(+) to the positive red post of the battery and the negative wire to the negative post.
However, both wires look the same except that one wire has a white stripe the entire length. Which wire is the positive?

I’d say check with a volt meter to make sure if instruction don’t tell you which is which.

Yes…the white stripe wire is the positive…the solid black is the negative….

If you bought it new it should have instructions. Follow them. If you dont have this go to a store that sells them and find out. If all else fails call the factory.
